In our double rooms, comfort comes first. The modern architecture with its high-quality handcrafted oak furniture creates a natural ambience.
Our feel-good rooms are all equipped with a balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views over the vineyards all the way to the hills on the Luxembourg side of the Moselle river.
In addition to the regionally handcrafted furniture and the oak parquet flooring, the bathroom with its rain shower system also adds to the feel-good factor.

In our new holiday homes, we guarantee maximum comfort and a feel-good atmosphere.
The architect and carpenter from the region have turned our holiday homes into a incredibly unique and exceptional space. The furniture and floors are made of oak wood and provide the room with a natural warmth and the fully equipped kitchens will satisfy all your needs.
The floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony offer a view stretching over the vineyards and even all the way to Luxembourg.

Travelling without borders – between Germany, France and Luxembourg. Discover the cultural diversity of a cross-border region, shaped by viticulture and the Moselle river meandering picturesquely through all three countries. There are no boundaries when you are exploring. Go hiking, cycling or visit historically significant places such as Schengen and Trier or take a city trip to Metz or Luxembourg.
HOLIDAYS ON THE MOSELLE RIVER
The southern wine region of the Moselle – stretching from Schengen to the mouth of the Saar near Trier – is known for its wine and offers a variety of activities for your holiday. In this context, you should absolutely enjoy a wine tasting, for example of the Elbling wine. Elbling is considered one of the oldest grape varieties in Europe. According to legend, it was the Romans who planted the first Elbling vines in this area, and it is still appreciated to this day for its light wines.

We would like to invite you to our new wine house. Come and taste our wines and learn more about our philosophy, the vineyards as well as about the everyday life of a winegrower in the Moselle region.
We offer a great variety of wines, reflecting the diversity of the region. All together we have 20 different grape varieties – from Auxerrois and Riesling to Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Elbling, as well as Solaris, Pinot Meunier and Syrah.
Come in and find out which one is your favourite.
Event location
Our comfortable accommodations are directly connected to our winery and the newly designed wine house. In addition to our “library”, which invites you to a cozy get-together, there is a separate room for wine tastings, meetings as well as
an open kitchen that can be used when hosting events.
We offer the perfect location for special occasions such as company outings, meetings, seminars and celebrations for 12 to 14 people.

family
As our family name already suggests, we have been associated with viticulture for many centuries. Palzem amongst the vineyards since 1924. This is our home, and we warmly invite our guests to spend time with us and enjoy our wines.
The SAUERWEINs WINERY
Matthias and Timo run the winery together with their mother Edith. They also have all the support they need from Timo’s girlfriend Selina and Matthias’ wife Judith – as well as their two children Theodor and Johanna who are always there with them.
We love feeling at home here in the southern Moselle region and getting up every day with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The Moselle valley is sheltered from the wind and offers ideal conditions for our pure wines, which continue to inspire us every day.
